In my future classroom, there are three ways that I can see
myself using a blog. The first way I will use a blog will be to reflect on my
teaching experience. I will use it as a space where I can write down the
memorable moments of the day, as well as reflect on students that are making an
impact on my life. I will also use my blog to store lesson plans. I will post
my lesson plans online so that they can be easily accessible for me, as well as
available to other teachers for review and critique. This will make it easier
for me to be able to keep up with my lesson plans as well as create an
opportunity for improvement due to the response of others. The final way I foresee
myself using a blog in the classroom is to post photos and comment on class
activities. Students and parent will be able to see the various memories that
are made in the classroom. In addition, it will also be a place where the
homework assignments and test schedule are posted so that everyone knows what
is expected of them academically for the course. These are the ways that I will
consider using a blog in my future classroom.
And I find third person who is willing to use a blog to post assignments and lessons alongside memorable classroom photos. I think the whole blog as an instructional tool is not a bad idea, yet time will only tell. I thought your three ideas are solid and provide a good basis of planning out your future class.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of using a blog for memorable experiences and lesson plans. I've seen a ton of blogs online already that had different lesson plans and ideas to use in the classroom that would definitely come in handy. I think blogs are a great idea for teachers because it helps the students family get to feel like they are a part of their educational experience which is something that a lot of parents don't get to be a part of.
ReplyDeleteI think using the blog to post photos and info from class is a great idea. I'm sure parents and students will enjoy being able to see some of the highlights from class and they will also be able to share them with others.
ReplyDeleteI had never even thought of using a blog in the way that you described. This just shows how beneficial technology really is. I especially like the part of taking pictures and reflecting on the good times in the classroom. I think that makes the students feel special and valued to know that someone cares enough to remember them. Confidence is key with students!
ReplyDeleteI really like all of your ways that you will use the blog. I have never thought about making a blog for memory purposes. I have several teachers in my family and they are always talking about the students in their classes that are so encouraging and the ones that impact their life. I really like your idea of blogging to remember these students!
